In reference to the directives of the respected President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Redha Aslan.
A group of lecturers from the Department of Medical Devices Engineering Technology paid a scientific visit to Azadi Teaching Hospital within the principle of cooperation between state institutions. The visit aimed to see the medical devices used in health departments and government hospitals, through which a solid bridge is created between what the student learns in the Department of Medical Devices Engineering and work sites after graduation, as well as bridging the gap between the theoretical and practical aspects in the department and field work.
It was also agreed that there would be representatives from the Department of Health who are specialized in medical devices and hold a bachelor’s degree and higher degrees in the Industrial Advisory Council at the Technical College of Engineering in Kirkuk and the Department of Medical Devices Engineering to be consultants in the field of developing theoretical and practical curricula and department laboratories, as well as giving lectures, seminars and scientific workshops that would improve the scientific and academic reality of the department. The college delegation included Assistant Professor Dr. Muntaser Aidi Sharif, Head of the Department of Medical Devices Engineering, Dr. Haider Turan Mahdi, a lecturer in the Department of Devices, Assistant Lecturer Sahar Najat Shaker, Rapporteur of the Department of Medical Devices, and Assistant Lecturer Muhammad Jassim, a lecturer in the Department of Devices. The visiting delegation was accompanied throughout the visit by Medical Devices Engineer Mustafa Sabah Abdullah at Azadi Teaching Hospital.
