Vision, Mission, and Goals

A. Vision:

The college aspires to a future filled with knowledge and education. One of its foremost plans is the development of educational curricula that evolve in line with the progress in all its departments, aiming to reach the advanced level of other technical colleges in developed countries. Therefore, it aims to send its teaching staff to participate in scientific seminars and conferences held worldwide to gain experience and scientific competence, facilitating their integration and interaction with scientific advancements. It also aims to establish a connection between the college and other educational institutions worldwide, fostering cultural agreements with universities and colleges worldwide through cultural exchange and joint research.

Additionally, the college seeks to create a suitable scientific and cultural environment for students to unleash their scientific talents and endeavors, striving to provide scholarship opportunities for outstanding students and conducting training courses to graduate specialized scientific personnel. Students are the creators of life and the source of perpetual progress.

Furthermore, the college aims to introduce and open new scientific departments in addition to its current six departments to provide various specializations and broader opportunities for students, benefiting the public good through expanding experiences and diversifying scientific capabilities to meet the needs at the local and national levels.

Moreover, it intends to accept postgraduate students for all engineering scientific departments to obtain a master’s degree in all available specialties.

College Mission:

The Technical College in Kirkuk was established in 1998-1999 and, despite its recent establishment, it has a long history of performance, adopting educational methodologies similar to other universities worldwide, derived from the curricula and plans of technical colleges globally.

The college aims for cultural openness and keeping pace with the evolving educational methodologies worldwide while preserving Arab and Islamic civilization, emphasizing religious values, and enhancing national belonging.

The college is prepared to introduce modern teaching methods to enhance students’ capacity for creativity, innovation, and understanding of advanced technology, developing local capabilities and encouraging scientific research in various fields of work, fostering teamwork spirit, building trust between teachers and students, and exerting all efforts to attain knowledge.

Lastly, the college is keen on preparing advanced engineering personnel in various fields to meet the country’s needs for required specializations.

General Goals of Kirkuk Engineering Technical College:

  1. Training technical personnel with scientific qualifications based on solid scientific principles to meet the needs of development projects and the job market in the region, aligning the prescribed curricula with the requirements of scientific and knowledge advancement in various fields.
  2. Conducting specialized courses to introduce students to various sciences in line with contemporary scientific and technical developments.
  3. Graduating technically qualified personnel with multiple educational levels capable of dealing with modern technologies.
  4. Encouraging practical work upon graduation to familiarize students with the work environment and keep pace with scientific and technological advancements through cultural and scientific ties with Arab and international universities and scientific institutes.
  5. Establishing partnerships with the private sector to meet the needs of the local market. The college aims to secure the necessary means to achieve its goals through its three pillars: teaching staff, technical staff, students, workshops, and laboratories.
