The Department of Architectural and Construction Engineering Technology, in cooperation with the Reconstruction and Projects Unit/Kirkuk Campus, held a scientific workshop entitled:

(Development and Modernization Project for the Northern Technical University/Kirkuk Campus)
Workshop Themes:

The three-day workshop addressed the current state of the Northern Technical University/Kirkuk Campus, identifying its organizational and traffic management challenges. It also discussed urban sprawl and the overlap of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Furthermore, the workshop presented a proposed vision for campus renewal through the organization of the road and walkway network and the allocation of future construction areas, aiming to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable university environment.

Workshop Objectives:
The workshop aimed to analyze the current urban landscape of the Northern Technical University/Kirkuk Campus, identify planning challenges, and develop a comprehensive vision for campus renewal. This vision includes organizing the road network, separating pedestrian and vehicular traffic, allocating areas for future expansion, and enhancing the cultural and environmental identity to reflect the spirit of the city and achieve a sustainable and harmonious university environment.
