The Department of Electronics and Control Engineering Technology organized a scientific seminar entitled:

“The Role of Physics in Sustainable Development.” This seminar comes within the framework of the Northern Technical University’s interest in promoting the concepts of sustainable development and the transition towards a clean and sustainable economy, keeping pace with modern technological developments in the field of clean and sustainable energy. This contributes to developing the scientific and research skills in modern physics for our faculty members. The lectures were delivered by:

Dr. Maher Faiq Mohammed and Ms. Mayada Jassim Hammadi.

The seminar included a review of modern trends in nanophysics research and research on improving electric batteries used in cars and homes.

The seminar aimed to:

Raise awareness of the importance of modern physics research in developing renewable energy;

Link research to practical applications;

Encourage faculty members to keep abreast of physics research to support the goals of sustainable development.
