Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology/Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Redha Aslan,
the Department of Electronics and Control Engineering Technologies organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Systems Monitoring.”
This seminar comes within the framework of the Northern Technical University’s commitment to promoting the concepts of environmental sustainability and digital transformation, and keeping pace with modern technological developments in the field of industrial automation and intelligent control systems, which contributes to developing the scientific and practical skills of the college’s students and staff.
The lectures were delivered by:

The seminar included a review of artificial intelligence concepts, machine learning techniques, and artificial neural networks, and their role in monitoring industrial systems and early fault detection, analyzing big industrial data, as well as applications of predictive maintenance, improving energy efficiency, and reducing sudden stoppages in production lines.
Practical examples of employing intelligent algorithms in industrial control systems were also discussed, along with their integration with SCADA systems and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The challenges of implementing these technologies in local industrial environments were also addressed.
The seminar aimed to:
