"Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Rida Aslan, Dean of Kirkuk Technical Engineering College, chaired the twelfth session of the College Council for the academic year 2023/2024, in the presence of the Deputy Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the Deputy Dean for Academic and Graduate Studies Affairs, and the Heads of the Scientific Departments."
“During the session, several matters were discussed, including:
– Discussion of decisions from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and directives from the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Atta.
– Discussion of issues related to sustainable development.
– Preparation for final exams for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
– Monitoring the affairs of graduate students, emphasizing scientific publication in reputable journals, ensuring quality assurance, and institutional accreditation standards.
– Discussion of matters related to joint and summative exams.
– Presentation of departmental lectures to the council, and appropriate decisions were made regarding the lecture topics. Also, discussion on faculty promotions.
– Addition of research projects to the scientific plan.
At the end of the session, the esteemed heads of departments were directed to follow up on the educational process and overcome any difficulties for all faculty members and our dear students, in order to elevate the academic level of our college and our esteemed university.”
